FUNCTIONAL ROOFTOP GARDEN

At the AFAS Theatre in Leusden, it is clearly visible how a smart design and outdoor furniture can really bring an office environment to life. The aim of AFAS was to create an office that completely fits with their own style and identity – something unique, that never fails to surprise and inspire both employees and visitors. This perfectly aligns with what Funrs stands for: designing outdoor furniture that is not only functional but also contributes to a pleasant and inspiring outdoor space.

Within the AFAS project, a lot of attention was paid to the green environment, with several companies designing the outdoor spaces. Each part of the site has its own character: from the gardens and the main entrance to the café terrace and the sports island, complete with a padel court and a petanque court.

A special part of this project is the huge rooftop garden of almost 10,000 m², a place where greenery and seating areas come together. Here, it is clearly visible how important well-placed planting, benches, and lighting are to make such a space something special. This is exactly the kind of project where we at Funrs can play a valuable role: by providing outdoor furniture and green areas that are practical, stylish, and perfectly adapted to the environment.
